Every week hundreds of CVEs arrive. If you look at the queue, it never ends: the backlog grows faster than you can clear it, and in the end the rational response becomes "we ignore them". It is the wrong decision, but it is the one that ends up being taken by default. The point is not whether to ignore vulnerabilities: it is which criterion to use when you have to choose.
